The purpose of this event is to give young women pursuing professional basketball careers in Europe an opportunity by: 1) showcasing their skills and talent, and 2) it is a chance to gain more exposure in their effort to move to the next level.
Many players complete their basketball seasons each year wondering if they are good enough to play as a professional in Europe but with not a clue of how to make the next step. This camp will be conducted like a NBA camp. Each player will be evaluated on their skills, through drills, situation drills, sports perfromance and team scrimmages. The camp will be filmed and presented to International coaches, scouts, GM%u2019s, agents in hopes of filling American Import entry level jobs in Europe. Some players may also be selected to participate in a Women%u2019s European Tour to take off in Oct.
The campers will receive the resources needed to gain the exposure desired to make it at the professional level. Along with evaluations by personnel of the WNBA, there will also be local media covering the activities which makes this is a great opportunity for any female who is looking for entry jobs to further their career as a basketball player. This camp will be an extensive training camp, working like the pros work, developing the skills while also gaining the information needed as each player prepares for their professional journey.
This event is not only an opportunity to showcase their skills but it is also a chance to enhance their athletic and marketing abilities as they prepare for a very competitive career in Professional Basketball . The event will also include staff appearances from various Pro and Semi-Pro leagues here in the US, European leagues, collegiate and high school coaches. Members of the community are welcome.
